 | Comments: |
Blizzard was a bust up here, as we only picked up a dusting as of 6PM. Winds, however, created a bunch of drifting up high.
Mt. Rowe Trail down low was fairly well packed. Yellow Trail was not well consolidated after the last storm and unfortunately was trashed by a parasitic postholing Microspiker today (spoiler alert: they didn't make it to the summit, as Microspikes don't work in deep snow).
Lots of drifting on the upper Yellow Trail, filling in the footbed.
Ridge Trail had some major drifting. The Microspiker gave up on eating soup with a fork after postholing deep a few times. No sign of other traffic on the Ridge Trail.
Cloudy, windy afternoon/early evening with temperatures in the upper 20s. |
