 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The one steep section on Marion Davis has rope strung between like 4 or 5 trees. Never seen that before. Not sure if that’s new for this winter? I assume it’s to give folks something to hold on to while descending that section? |

Saw 4 GORGEOUS goldens and their humans on my way up the Auto Road. Absolutely beautiful pups! |

Nice little loop on Pack today. Up the Auto Road had a nice ski/sled track. Couldn’t tell exactly what form of traction it was until I caught up to the folks ahead of me, and turns out…it was both! They were skinning up and pulling their son up in a pulk sled.
At the summit, I broke out the Summit Loop trail, because…why not? It was there, and the fresh powder was calling.
As I meandered around the summit, I noticed a lone set of snowshoe tracks had come up Marion Davis. Never one to pass up the chance to make a loop (and to leave the trails better than I found them) I added a second set of snowshoe tracks to Marion Davis. It’s rough broken, but definitely way too soft for anything other than snowshoes. That being said, if you’re in southern NH, and want some great snowshoeing, go get Marion Davis! |
