Our large group found the SRK Greenway portion of the trail, including the side trail to Balanced Rock, very lightly broken (a gift!). Smooth going all the way. The side trail out to the East Peak--"Old Top"--was not at all broken and remains very poorly marked. We managed to stay largely on the trail, through some drifting, and it is now nicely packed, as is the Greenway. But a barebooter followed us both up and down, so our smooth track is now pockmarked with his 10+" postholes--AAARGH! |
