Comments
Comments: Trail was well packed to the snowmobile trail, and marginally tracked to the beginning of switchbacks around 2.3 miles. I broke out the switchbacks to about 2600’ when I hit my time limit. I also skewed off trail due to a blowdown at that point too. Snow wasn’t drifted at my turnaround point, just powder about 10-14 inches deep. AT blazes become fewer and further apart above the switchbacks- just a little bit of guesswork to stay on trail. Highly recommend snowshoes if going beyond Bracket Brook.
