Comments
Comments: We broke out Ted’s trail for which the first 1.5 miles was a post holed mess left by two young hikers who we saw as they bailed back down the mountain, admitting they were unprepared as we passed by and ascended to pack out their mess. Above the falls the trail breaking was pretty tough especially the south facing ledges that had corniced and were solid. We took a couple turns into the trees here were the snow was softer. Shortly before the Cliff trail Jct we heard voices and happily let Scott & Meg who had caught up to us take the lead! Together we broke out the trail until we reached the Wapack.
We had intended to come down Carolyn’s which was broken out at the bottom but not from the ledges on top. We doubled back to N Pack summit and took the Wapack north to
Mountain rd where we walked back to our car. Great day in the woods as always with MichaelJ on Valentine’s Day!
