We caught some big snow today on Garfield. We started the day after a great night at the Indian Resort hotel, so Cheap and Easy. A true hotel for lovers! When we started, it was already snowing and snowed for much of the day. There was a beautifully laid track from prior snowshoers that unfortunately was kind of barefooted to within an inch of its life today. Not by us. We brought the shoes along for the ride for the first 3 miles and then wore them door to door. We could’ve used you today, Officer Morra! Despite that, we were greeted at the summit with 80° weather, stunning views, and cider donuts! One of us cuties must have fallen and proposed to at least three gentlemen on trail today. Happy Valentine’s Day! |
