Trail was broken - spiked it up until I got to within .5 miles of the summit and switched over to snow shoes - never took them off until I got back to the trailhead. That said - you could probably easily do this in microspikes - I really was just trying to get more time on the snow shoes and compact the trail a bit more. Fun day and the lenticular clouds were amazing. |
