 | Comments: |
Lower portion of the Mt. Rowe Trail was fairly well bootpacked. Yellow Trail was not as well packed, and the Ridge Trail beyond the viewpoint was snowshoe mandatory due to deep drifts not being packed out (one postholer made a mess; they probably pee on public restroom toilet seats too). Generally about a foot of powder down low (early season base was lost during the January thaw), increasing to a foot and a half higher up, and deeper north of the viewpoint. This all will change, as heavy snow started this evening.
Cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the lower 30s. |
