A great day to be out. Brilliant blue sky, little wind. Incredible winter views of the Presidential Range. While the starting temp of -9 was daunting, we got moving and soon were delayering. Car temp was 32 by our return early afternoon. No other hikers today. We were a group of four and wearing snowshoes helped further consolidate a very nicely snowshoes packed trail all the way. On Haystack Road, we saw snowmobilers and a groomer. |
