Wore snowshoes the whole way out and back. Hi-Cannon Trail is in rough shape with lots of snow laden trees that you have to crawl under. It took me 3 hours to summit which is about twice as long as it usually takes me. I didn't want to come down the same trail, but after having a wobbly pop at the 4020 cafe, I decided just do it and give the trail more snowshoe love. The other option of heading down the KRT and doing the 2 miles back to my car via the bike path/snowmobile trail gauntlet was less appealing to me. Saw nobody on the hike up, but passed 4 barefooters heading up as I was heading down. |
