Comments
Comments: Some wandering about to help a friend who is hiking all the trails in the AMC Southern NH Trail Guide.

Our group of four was varied as far as traction. I went with snowshoes round-trip as I prefer them, two went with spikes, and the fourth started in spikes but switched to snowshoes. Both seemed to work fine but I would recommend snowshoes as there is still a lot of soft snow. We also saw a few skiers on the mountain. The snowmobile trails had been traveled but were still soft.

Nice views from the various outlooks and the bright sun made the chilly temps comfortable.
