Comments
Comments: Robie and I started off in the rain at about 7:30. The rain stayed with us the rest of this hike. The trail was quite good though. We bare booted up about 500 feet in elevation then had to put on traction where the ice of the mono rail started. There was a little bit of soft snow but the monorail had compacted and froze so that it was solid. When we broke above the tree line the rain changed to ice and feezing rain and the rocks were coated. No snowshoes needed here. We came down the ski trails and cut over on Kinsman Trail. We met four fellows and the husky there.
Good catching up with Robie.
