Comments
Comments: We barebooted up to Zeta Pass without any problems. Minimal snow and ice along the way. Carter-Moriah Tr had a stable monorail split up by dry ground when it got steep or exposed to the sun. Maximum snow depth was about 2-3 feet in a few spots but on the average it was less than a foot if you stepped off of the monorail. We opted to leave the snowshoes in the car and I feel it was a good choice. My friend used microspikes for the descent from Middle Carter but I barebooted the whole way. The snow was mostly gone once we headed down the Imp Tr.

Tepms in the 50s with a mix of sun and clouds and no wind. We spent an hour at the summit of Middle Carter. Other than a handful of people heading out from the Carter Notch Hut we only saw six others all day.
