Snowshoes from start to finish. The trails to Tom and Field are in great shape. Going from Field to Willey was a mix of 18 inch post-holes and single lane travel. There were a few people that took the trip to Willey so the trail is going to be in much better shape. Easy to avoid the holes with snowshoes, just floated above them. Any going off the path meant sinking a bit so best to stay in the middle as best you can. Temperatures were cold and very little wind. Blue skies and great views of the Presidentials. |
