We had our 3rd Annual Full Moon Snowshoe through Mountain View Farm to Mason Pond. Around 40 snowshoers and a couple skiers packed down a good trench out to Mason Pond, which is frozen solid. Once you pass through the front fields at MVF you will pick up a groomed snowmobile track for a bit and then the pond spur diverges off the snowmobile trail to the left. Come walk around the pond if you'd like -- the going is easy! There are a couple of wooden stiles over barbed wire fencing to navigate along the way which provide some difficulty, but it is otherwise an easy outing under a mile one way. |
