We took the shortcut. Water crossings weren't fully bridged but were easily crossable. |

We saw one beautiful, adventurous dog who picked up a few fitting nicknames along the hike. |

There were several people out and we were a group of 7. Two guys said they started at 2:30 am to break it out- THANK YOU. So it's well trodden now, but still loose, especially the higher you go. If you're going tomorrow you wont have any trouble finding the trail and you wont be trail breaking, but much of it is the kind of workout like walking in beach sand. Snowshoes door to door, though you could bare boot the road walk if you like. |
