-8 degrees when we left the car at 7:50am. plan was for Field and Willey, but when we got to Field and saw that Willey wasn't really broken out we decided to head to Tom. Before we left Field a solo hiker headed off to Willey. Most everyone was in snowshoes today...Yay! Tom Spur was torn up by a few postholios. We tried to educated them on the dangers of 18"deep postholes, but fortunately I think all the subsequent snowshoes fixed most of the damage. Signes of butt sledding on upper Avalon All in all a great day. so beautiful with the snow covered trees and bluebird skies. |
