 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lot by the train station is not plowed. The parking along rt302 is iffy with huge snow banks making it hard to get off the rd. We parked at high land center, go to front desk, pay $10, you get a permit to hang from windshield. Lot was at least 3/4 full by 7:30 am. |

 | Comments: |
Trails are perfect for snow shoes. The trails we used were well broken out, and soft but great with snow shoes. Spikes would be useless, bare booting, which we saw some doing, would be hard work. Snow is deep, over the knees deep, and going just a bit off trail can lead to a posthole leg even with snow shoes. Someone left a track of deep postholes going up mt tom spur, but they are getting filled in as others go over them in snow shoes. There are tracks going out from Field to Willey, but they are drifted and there is not well worn paths yet. Not many people out today so not likely that trail saw much traffic. |
