Comments
Comments: From the parking lot, we took Boulder Loop Tr for 0.4m, then left onto Jesus Valley-Beaver Pond Tr, on which we stayed to the summit of Mt Major. The trail is well packed by snow machines all the way to the summit. Of particular note, Boulder Loop Trail had only been broken out by a single hiker not wearing snowshoes who happened to arrive at the summit as we were there enjoying the gorgeous views. There had been traffic on the Mt Major Trail, though we couldn't tell if it was post-holed or snowshoed. We chose to return the same way we ascended due to the uncertainty of conditions going down Mt Major Trail or Boulder Loop Trail. We did not notice any activity on the Belknap Range Trail where it intersects JV-BP Tr. Beautiful day to be outdoors, 6.6 miles.
