Comments
Comments: Was pleased to see a broken out trail at the TH. Snow depths started with few inches, and even less under some of the trees. Approximately half way to the falls I caught up to the trail breakers, 5 hikers from Green Mtn Trail assoc. I passed them and continued to break trail as the snow depths increased to 12-18". About quarter mile before the bridge I was passed by a skier skinning up. After the bridge he turned right and I continued left to break trail to the falls. At the higher elevations the snow depth was closer to 18" or more. Passed 2 more hikers from VT on descent. In total, the trail was packed by 7 in snowshoes and one ascending on skies today. But, it is still a bit loose and snowshoes are the way to go.

Some of the frozen falls were a spectacular blue color; other sections were the usual yellowish but frozen and pretty cool.
