Comments
Comments: I broke out the trail up to Welch, to Dickey, and part of the way back down from Dickey to the car doing the loop today. A few skiers and a hiker in snowshoes packed down the rest. I'm not the best route finder, so I meandered from the actual trail here and there, but the track gets the job done. New snow ranged from 6in to 2ft. I recommend snowshoes until the trail is packed down better. I didn't bring an ice axe, but I brought a whippet. It was helpful to have it for the more technical areas. Be careful near the ledges coming down from Dickey, they were a little slick in spots.
