Comments
Comments: Went with light traction (Hillsounds) for the duration. Trail conditions were mostly light snow on top of ice. At the first lookout, one could switch to snowshoes but I did fine without.

On the note of dogs - my dog and I had many happy encounters with pups along the way. However, when we got back to the bridge on the way out the roaming Notchland border collie mix that bit me on trail last year was aggressively blocking the way - barking, lunging at me and my dog; thankfully a neighbor bystander was there and able to restrain Mia so that we could pass through the bridge and get back to our car. Please be aware that she is still on the loose. She is unpredictably aggressive and territorial, mostly with other dogs (but not all) and mostly fine with humans. I've received many messages from people who have also had negative encounters with Mia, so please be cautious if hiking this trail, especially with your dog.
