 | Comments: |
This was the most slippery trail I have ever been on. After the halfway house, the few inches of light fluffy snow over lots of ice made it feel like the trail was freshly greased. Micro spikes or snowshoes were not adequate. We passed a few hikers that were using crampons. We made it to the waterfalls section and decided to turn around. Most of the other hikers on the trail we talked to made the same decision
Coming down was treacherous.
