Comments
Comments: Snow was fluffy but shallow on the walk-up to red spot. There was enough exposed rock that I didn't want to break out my snowshoes. Some ice going up red spot; it was manageable with microspikes (one person running down said that they intended to go up white dot, but the ice was impassable without crampons/axe, so we avoided white dot). Near the top of Red spot and transitioning to Pumpelly, there were 2-3 spots where having an axe or crampons would have been nice. Some in our party had trouble with the slopey icy sections with just spikes. Brought a short rope, but didn't need to use it. On a super cold day with firmer ice, would probably want crampons.

Otherwise, beautiful tempest at the summit. Fun mountain. Looking forward to going back.
