Comments
Comments: Don’t be fooled by the fresh snow. Underneath is a solid sheet of ice. Even with microspikes going down was quite an activity with much less traction than I would have liked. Spent a lot of time on my butt sliding way faster than I wanted to. It appears the lake is frozen over so like usual its a great, scenic, hike but accounting for all the ice most people should seriously consider whether they are prepared before heading up this mountain.
