Up Hale Brook crossings were bridged. Small drainages were easy to step across. |

Lend-A-Hand was a mess. OK in the upper sections but a slow go in the wet areas of the flat section. Lots of deep holes with open water. We never knew if our next step was going to the be into firm snow or into a hidden void with open water below. Hale Brook was fine the whole way, in spikes low and snowshoes after my favorite side slope.
