There were 4 separate groups that started before we did, so the trail was getting packed down from the mornings snow. There was 3-6” of new snow, the 6” being near the summit. Some folks used light traction and others in snowshoes. The snow is soft, so spikes may be a tad more work than snowshoes. 2 butt sledders that were heading down as were were going up packed the trail nicely with their sleds starting from Starr King. We passed about 9 others going up when we were heading down. Trail should be in good shape! |
