Comments
Comments: Crawford path was well travelled and microspikes were fine all the way to the Pierce Summit. Saw a crew of fat tire bikers on descent. Was a nice day and trails were busy. Was our groups first trip out for the year and decided against pushing on to Eisenhower. In lieu of this, we decided to head down to Mizpah hut via Webster Cliff trail, then back to Crawford Path via the Mizpah Cutoff. These trails were far less traveled and less packed in. Started post holing and switched to snowshoes which did the trick. About waist deep off trail. Saw a group coming up Mizpah with full camping gear. Definitely recommend snowshoes on these less travelled trails at this point.
