Both trails were hard pack sticky snow. Spikes the whole way. Snowshoes and ice axe went for a nice ride and didn't get used though you certainly could use them if you felt like it. But sledding down from Hancock was beautiful. If the snow freezes up a little bit more it might be a bit too fast. Couple icy sections headed up south Hancock but nothing bad.
Couple icy sections on the Osceolas as well but all avoidable. Chimney is well schwacked around. Summit of Osceola is a sheet of ice, stay away from the drop offs. |
