Comments
Comments: I guess Blueberry Ledge Cutoff has not been popular this year, as it didn’t look like anyone had been through there for weeks. There was probably 8" of unconsolidated heavy, wet snow. I broke out all of it, but I know there was one other person who came up after me with snowshoes, so it should be in ok shape.

Once I hit Blueberry Ledge Trail, trail conditions improved and are well-packed. Higher up, there was a good quarter inch of ice on everything. In spite of the ice, the ledges were not in bad shape - or at least "normal" shape for this time of year. There is some decent ice lower down, but you can get past it in a few steps. I passed a guy at the bottom who was putting on his crampons, which I also had, but I did it in snowshoes. Wasn’t bad, but depends on your spice tolerance.

Although there were lots of iced over, low hanging trees, the cruise over the Passaconaway was easy. Rollins and Dicey's are well packed down, but with some new deadfalls from the ice.
