Comments
Comments: A great day to be in the Northern Presis and run into an old high school coach!
Wore spikes from Appalachia all the way to Abigail Adams. If I had heavy duty crampons, I probably would have put them on for Osgood, but the trail can be managed without them. Conditions were a mix of softening snow, rocks, ice and packed snow - the full winter mix.

The day was too good to ruin it with a Valley Way descent, so I went down Lowe's, tagged Abigail Adams, chatted with the Gray Knob hut master, and ran into a familiar face from years ago. 100% worth the detour. Lowe's is in ok shape, but snowshoes are probably best up to the tree line.
