 | Comments: |
Started in microspikes and switched to snowshoes about 5 miles in (including the road walk). The trail was mostly packed, but the extra traction and televators were helpful on the steeper sections. Snow became less consolidated after the exposed ridge and heading toward the summit. I stayed in snowshoes for the descent until a stream crossing required rock-hopping, then switched back to spikes to the car. I saw 2 people close to/on the summit also wearing snowshoes and 3 others at the lower part of the trail in spikes. |
