Comments
Comments: Quite a mix, running wet, then icy, then running wet & icy, finally turns to predominantly rotten snow that has a solid enough monorail, getting elevated in places. Barebooted, rock-hopping, until near the tent platforms and then microspiked the rest. Carried snowshoes but thankfully it stayed firm enough in the center out to Flume to not use them, the very uneven surface would be tough on the ankles snowshoeing. Hiked shirtless in shorts and high gaiters, an amazing day. Took almost an hour longer than in Feb. due to all the tip-toeing around.
