| Water Crossing Notes: |
Both major crossing are open now. Had to search for a good place to cross at the first major crossing, as the rocks were submerged at the point the trail went across. The second crossing was able to be rock hopped. All the other smaller minor crossing still had packed snow. |

| Comments: |
Ice starts pretty much right after the initial water crossing at the parking area, microspikes are just the right amount of traction. A mix of bare ground/mud/ice between first and second major water crossing. Just before the second crossing, snow starts to increase, with a bit of ice showing here and there.
Higher up, there was plenty of snow, but was firm enough that I was able to use microspikes car to car and my snowshoes got a free ride. I went up early enough in the morning that the snow was still firm, but with the warm temps, later in the afternoon snowshoes might be helpful to avoid postholing in the upper section. |
