Comments
Comments: Early cold start in order to beat Sunday night ice storm. Exospikes on LW and Wilderness Trail on broken and firm almost like styrofoam. Some people had skied out to Wilderness Trail Saturday. More snow and softening on Bondcliff Trail. Snowshoes on after 3rd crossing stayed on til around Osseo on return. At Hillary step/alpine sign, I disembarked snowshoes and pack and used Exos on summit (had Hillsounds on me and they would have worked better on summit ice but dulled by rock). I took work around left of ledges but saw snowshoes had gone down them. Clearly snowshoes were used Saturday up and down all of Bondcliff trail so it was packed and firm but not enough for spiking the steep miles and snowshoes were best here. With the warm temps lower elevation was like beach and sand. Saw one her person out and back to Bondcliff and they used snowshoes on steeps and majority of their descent.
