Comments
Comments: I chose to wear snowshoes for just about the full 14 mile round trip- Trail is broken out but after the intersection with Fire Warden trail especially, the snow is loose and not fully consolidated. Microspikes would also work most of the way but preferred snowshoes for the beach sand type snow conditions all the way to North Twin. Between the peaks, snow shoes are more necessary as there were several deep drifts filling in the packed trail. A group of about 5 in snowshoes after me were the only others I saw today so trail should be in good shape. Perfect chilly day out there with great conditions!
