Comments
Comments: Lonesome Lake Trail was a highway. We crossed the lake and it appeared we were the first ones to do so this morning. Fishin' Jimmy was in decent shape and the snowshoes weren't necessary. The earlier start paid off because the overnight temperatures hardened up the trail. We made our way up to North Kinsman. Between the two peaks the trail was a little drifted. Closer to the summit of south was the only "softer" trail conditions we ran into. Snowshoes stayed on the back. On our way out we ran into a handful of people using a mix of traction. Some in snowshoes others in microspikes. Trail should be pristine, but the incoming weather may have different ideas.
