At the start of Cadot Trail on Old Dublin Rd. in Hancock. Looks like the space in front of the gate has been plowed in the past, but had not been since the last storm. Easy enough to pull in without blocking the gate. |

I recall a couple blowdowns but nothing troublesome. Blazes on Cadot don't begin until it turns off the logging road onto the footpath portion. |

Skatutakee and Thumb before the next storm rolls through. Snow is currently not deep here, about 3-6 in., but it's dry powder so I went with snowshoes round-trip.
Cadot hadn't seen much recent traffic but there were drifted in boot prints and an old snowshoe track. I tried to revive that but apparently a bare booter had gone up and down the trail after me while I was over on Thumb, so, nope.
The few yards of Harriskat I was on was fine.
Thumbs Up across the ridge had seen snowshoe use that I added to. Thumbs Up ascending to Thumb had very thin snow coverage and could have been booted or spiked.
All of these conditions will of course change with the incoming storm. |
