Zbonds with overnight at Zealand Hut. Road walk was broken out. After the parking lot, there were some ski tracks for a bit and then we broke trail to the hut. In the morning, we followed Rob's tracks all the way to W. Bond - he broke out the whole thing! Loose, unconsolidated snow made for an exhausting climb. Gorgeous up top! More folks had been to all the Bonds, which made for easier going. We switched to spikes between Bond and Bondcliff, then back to showshoes. The descent from Bondcliff was well traveled but still loose, which made for a speedy descent. One on LW Trail, you could bareboot back to the car. Have fun out there! |
