Snowshoes are the most efficient on Ammo. I used them until I decided to do some butt sliding down the cog. Sharp Hillsounds would be a good choice if you want to take your shoes off at the hut and ascend Monroe that way. I used my shoes. The beginning of Monroe as you start to climb was hard packed icy snow. I did a lot of side stepping on the descent. Crawford to Washington was hard packed and bony in places that one would be fine in sharp spikes but for me snowshoes worked perfectly. |
