 | Comments: |
Great day on the ridge running into lots of familiar faces (Adam, Tom, Stephanie, Ilse) and plenty of other friendly ones. Went clockwise to put the wind at my back up high. Old Bridle and Falling Waters are both semi-consolidated, but snowshoes are still the more efficient choice for ascending. I switched to spikes just below the shoulder of Lafayette. Plenty of exposed rocks up high, some powdery drifts, a few postholes, and some hard ice lurking. I went ice skating a couple times on my rock spikes. Plenty of buttsledders out which will be interesting if Monday hits as an ice storm. |
