Frozen snow path from parking lot to summit. However first 3/4-1 mile had multiple areas of no snow, some ice but bare ground and roots/rocks also present. I chose to bare boot all the way up but would recommend at least waiting until the downhill before the 3rd stream crossing to don spikes if you want to avoid the rocks. Everyone else I saw had them on from the start. However I didn’t slip or slide once so I didn’t feel the need to stop and put them on until descending. Also recommended going left to the summit at the split. Right was only partially broken out with several hip high post holes (if you’re roughly 5’6). |
