Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The first water crossing (1 mile from TH) was high, so we followed it to the left and crossed over the snowmobile bridge. Highly recommend. The second we were able to hop across.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: We counted 38 blowdowns, but probably missed some. That said, we moved probably 20 or so off the trail. There are still 3-4 that will require a saw within the first 3 miles of the TH, but the trail should be in decent shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: One big, curious and friendly dog who resembled a small bear.

Comments
Comments: Given the storms yesterday, this trail was in better shape than expected. Barebooted the first 2 miles since spikes would have balled up. From there it was snowshoes and trail breaking. There were a few post holers out today, but the trail should overall be in good shape.

All that said, it's a notorious wet trail and rain storms have only made it wetter, especially below 3200 feet. Be ready to hop around some mud, leaves and wet rocks in the normal spots. A few more snowshoers and the pack should be in good shape.
