 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Trailhead parking lot was not plowed but cars had driven in. It seems like we probably could have made it but we chose to park at the plowed lot at Wellington State Park and do the very short road walk from there. |

 | Comments: |
Be aware that I'm talking about the Sugarloafs at Newfound Lake (not the ones in Twin Mt). Two of us used snowshoes the whole day and two of us used spikes. Either worked. The Ellwell trail was well packed. If I were doing it again in same conditions I would recommend spikes for the entire Ellwel trail and snowshoes for the back side trails near the pond. |
