Comments
Comments: The snow was very soft so snow shoes all the way. Saw some people with just spikes, but they were slipping and leaving holes. The last little bit- just before the final steep ledges, was very icy. The snow was worn away and it was just a sheet of ice. Everyone was crawling and sliding. One very agile dog required a push from behind to get up. The one person with crampons walked up. I could not get up that part, but my partner did and said that the top ledge was much better. Only 50 yards shy and I have to go again! Snowshoes again all the way down to the Bugle Cliff turn, then spikes to get between the rocks more easily. Had to descend a good way of the upper portion on our butts, not by choice, but gravity was in charge. Everyone I saw, even the young and agile, were sitting.
