 | Comments: |
It was a much later start than usual getting to Glencliff Trailhead at 10 to a nearly full lot. With a number of people ahead of me, the trail was well-packed and I just had spikes on up to the Carriage Road. I put on snowshoes at the junction with the Carriage Road, but could have gotten by without them although there were a few posthole from other people above treeline.
The trail above treeline is pretty well-packed, but things are a little boney heading up towards the summit. The winds above treeline were coming out of the southwest and it was pretty biting but not too bad. Even with the wind, the summit was totally socked in.
The return trip was quick and I kept snowshoes on all the way to clean up the trail. Things are in good shape for now! |
