Comments
Comments: I was the lone snowshoer today. Only needed Passaconaway. I followed a set of bare boots up. Postholes were not bothersome as snow is light and unconsolidated. Bare booter made it up to 1/2 mile below Rollins and ran out of gas. So it’s your choice - snowshoes which take some work or no snowshoes which take a lot more work. There are some hidden rocks and blowdowns, so watch for humps in the trail.
Also, wind was blowing snow back into the tracks. I expect that about half of the trench will be refilled. About 1/2 of the trail from the water crossing down was refilled when I returned a few hours later.trail
