 | Comments: |
Wore snowshoes roundtrip. Winter is here, at least for now.
Local side trails have seen little or no traffic. Lower third of the Mt. Prospect Trail is somewhat packed, but not enough for spiking/booting without spinning one's tires (like walking in sand). Middle portion has seen less traffic. Very little traffic above the first viewpoint - looks like a barebooter lost the trail and turned around. Boney in places in the usual snowshadow, but active drifting as well.
Generally about a foot of snow, with a half a foot in the snowshadow up high.
Partly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the 20s. |
