Parking/Access Road Notes: Road in good shape, plowed, packed, snow covered. Surprised to see only one car at winter parking lot when we arrived about 7:15 AM

Comments
Comments: Trail down low too rocky for snowshoes, spikes all day although the "beach sand" snow wasn't really packing. By the time we got to the switchbacks one could use snowshoes although spikes were okay. All the loose snow above treelike had been blown down the mountain so here it was mostly rocks and hard ice. Spikes here as snowshoes would have suffered. Cold and windy with minimal visibility.
More people ascending as we journeyed down, and the beach send starting to pack down. Brisk but nice day below treelike
