Idyllic hike to Eastman Mountain today. Saw one set of footprints (bare boot) that seemed to continue up towards South Baldface but we laid out a nice snowshoe track for anyone who wants to go up to Eastman! Some spots below 2000’ are still a bit bony but the snow is so loose and fluffy that spikes would really do nothing for you; snowshoes are the way to go for now. It was a very quiet day but we seemed to get lucky with sunshine and views. Saw one small group when we were almost done; they said they were heading to Emerald Pool. Otherwise we had the trail to ourselves! |
